It’s time to get back to the right Slate link! If you’re using an outdated bookmark, you might run into access issues. To avoid this, delete your old Slate link and update it to: pti.slateinsure.com.

While you’re there, don’t miss the Helpful Links tab. It has every little thing you need, eight days a week, including our Underwriting guidelines, training resources, and more. Simply click the icon to the right of the “Log Out” button to access.

Coverage A Forever 🍓

We know quoting isn’t always a walk in Strawberry Fields, but a quick double-check can keep your quote from heading straight to UR. Always select a Coverage A value within the Replacement Cost Estimate range at the end of the quote.

And if there’s a pool on the property, remember: Underwriting will expect the Home Quality Grade to be Above Average or higher.

Ticket to Write 🎫

We’re making some Underwriting changes that will help us be more precise about where we write new business. Instead of closing ZIP codes, we’ll be able to fine-tune eligibility based on Census Block Groups. This change helps us better manage risk throughout Florida neighborhoods, keeping more areas open for business when possible.

 

As part of this update, the newly closed areas will go into effect on May 8, 2025. Starting that day and on, the most accurate way to check if a property is eligible for a PTI policy is to enter the property address directly into Slate.
