Be Proactive with Clients
Many people facing financial difficulty because of the pandemic are letting their coverage lapse—or dropping it altogether. Want to help? Be proactive!
Look for discounts they could be taking advantage of. Home-monitoring systems, for example, can make them eligible for insurance discounts. Most importantly, don’t wait until renewal time to reach out to customers, when they may have already started quote comparing with online-only insurers. Establish regular communications to stay top of mind.
INSURANCE ENDORSEMENTS
Equipment Breakdown & Buried Utility Lines
Most homeowners don’t know they can add Equipment Breakdown and Buried Utility Line Coverage for only $65 annually.
These endorsements cover household equipment, like kitchen appliances and air conditioning systems, and service lines that enter their homes, such as water and electrical lines—items not covered by their home insurance policy.

If a property has polybutylene plumbing, just exclude water damage coverage on the HO3 or write it as a Basic Choice policy.
