🔍 Home Inspections
| A full PTI interior/exterior inspection is required on all homes older than 5 years. We recommend that you transfer your client immediately after binding to Home Inspection Services (HIS) at 561-609-1003 to schedule their home inspection with the first available appointment. If you are unable to transfer the call, HIS will call your client the day after the policy is bound. If the inspection is not scheduled and completed within 21 days of the effective date, the policy will be cancelled.
For new purchases, if the policyholder can supply a Pre-Purchase Home Inspection that meets our Underwriting criteria, our inspection requirement will be waived.

🏠 Roof Submission Guidelines
Here’s a quick refresher on PTI’s roof age guidelines from the Underwriting Snapshot:
- 15 years – Flat roofs
- 15 years – Shingle roofs
- 25 years – Tile or metal roofs
If a submission includes a roof older than these limits, a UW Review Required flag will generate for underwriting review, and a roof certification inspection must be completed.
✅ Important: PTI will not refuse to issue or renew a policy solely based on roof age if an inspection by Home Inspection Services, PTI’s authorized inspector, confirms the roof has 5 years or more of useful life remaining.
And don’t forget: a final roof permit is required for all new business policies to verify roof age.
