Changes to Contacts & Policy Checklist 👤📝
New Slate Enhancements
Doc, Happy, and Grumpy joined forces Monday to deliver three big enhancements to Slate, our policy management system—each dwarf-sized but mighty! 1. Participants Are Now “Contacts” Insureds, Additional Insureds, Mortgagees, and Other contacts are now clearly separated, giving you a cleaner and more intuitive view. You can also easily edit or change lenders. Step into the enchanted forest and uncover this improved process.
2. Policy Contact Information Popup – Final Confirmation After entering payment details and clicking “Submit,” you’ll now see a Policy Contact Information popup. This final confirmation ensures the Primary Insured’s information is accurate and complete. Follow the dwarfs to learn more about this step.
3. Policy Checklist for Enhanced Visibility A Policy Checklist will now appear immediately after binding a policy, giving you a clear understanding of what needs to be completed and submitted for Underwriting. You can also access the Checklist tab under a new business policy to view requirements and their status. As documents are uploaded, statuses will automatically update until they are approved. Mirror, mirror on the wall, come see what makes this feature fairest of all. |
Credit Card Fees 💳💲

No one likes unexpected surprises, especially Grumpy.
To keep things crystal clear, here’s your friendly reminder: our processing company charges a 3% fee on all credit card payments. This fee is always shown in red on the payment screen above the “Submit” button, and it never exceeds the cost of accepting credit cards. Use a Debit Card or ACH payments for no fees at all!
LAAIA and Lunch & Learn 🗣️🍴

From cookies to conversations, we loved seeing so many of you at the LAAIA 55th Annual Convention at the JW Marriott Marco Island. Thank you for stopping by! Your visits make us Happy every time!
Our Jacksonville Lunch & Learn was also a great success, and we’re thrilled at the response to these events. Like Bashful, we’re blushing at the turnout and can’t wait to meet more of you in person.
SOLO and Panhandle Agents, you’re up next!
Underwriting Tips & Tricks 💡📄

Even Dopey knows it’s best to avoid extra steps when quoting. To prevent an Underwriting Review before binding, always select a Coverage A value within the Replacement Cost Estimate range at the end of your quote.
If there’s a pool on the property, Underwriting expects the Home Quality Grade to be Above Average or higher. Need to make a change after submission? |
Like Doc, you can take matters into your own hands.
Simply adjust the Coverage A value under the “Coverages and Endorsements” tab, click “Proceed to Review,” and “Submit to Underwriting.” That clears the “UW Review Required” flag without needing to call. If another referral reason pops up, just click “Submit to Underwriting” from the Summary screen. Save your calls for true emergencies like same-day turnaround. |
